Details about any excess in your policy and whether you need to pay this amount to AXA or Ontime Physio
AXA Health Policy Excess:
Your policy excess—also known as a cost share or member contribution—is the amount stated in your AXA insurance policy that you are responsible for paying before AXA begins covering the cost of your treatment. While this amount can vary, it typically falls between £100 and £150.
In most cases, the excess is payable directly to Ontime Physio. Once we receive confirmation of the amount from AXA (please note this can take a few weeks), we’ll send you an invoice with various payment options, including an easy-to-use online payment method.
We kindly ask that you settle the excess promptly, as it applies to treatment sessions you’ve already received. Your cooperation and timely payment are greatly appreciated.
Please note that with certain AXA healthcare policies, AXA collects the excess directly from you and then reimburses us.
Number of AXA insured physiotherapy treatment sessions/total treatment amount:
It’s important to be aware of how many physiotherapy sessions AXA has authorised for you, or the total amount they have agreed to cover. Once you reach this limit, you’ll be responsible for any further costs—unless you contact AXA to request additional sessions and obtain a new claim number.
While we’ll do our best to help you keep track, it’s also essential that you stay informed about your treatment progress to avoid exceeding your coverage. If more sessions are needed, we can support you by communicating with AXA and providing them with a detailed letter explaining the medical necessity of continued treatment.
